Knowing your Customer
To locate your ideal client, you first must know them. Besides the fact your prospective customer desires your goods, what else do you know about these? Ask yourself a few of the following questions:
1. What principles do your customers have?
2. Do they have kids?
3. Can they prefer buying online or offline?
4. What are their fears/concerns?
5. What makes them happy?
Finding Your Ideal Client
The following step is a piece of cake! As soon as you discover what your ideal client’s interests hobbies, and lifestyle is, finding them is the easy part. There are a great deal of message boards, groups, newsletters, and websites devoted to certain groups of people. You can do a little research to find these locations on Yahoo Groups, Ezine Directories, or simply by searching.

Take a moment to realise your own hobbies and interests. Would you prefer to read and market candles or coffee? Join a message board that talks about books and get to know others . Be certain to put your company on your signature line! Use a creative ad such as”Relax with a cup of (your company’s name) coffee and a good book”, or”Relax with a (firm name) scented candle and a fantastic book”. Attempt to get as creative as possible so that your signature line really stands out and makes other want to click.
Also make certain to ask yourself why you joined this specific business to start with (besides the money!) . Sometimes this will give you ideas of where your clients could be. By way of instance, if you combined a bath and body business because of your concern for the use of store brand additives on your kids, you might consider seeking out a group or message board of other moms that share exactly the same concern. Again, be certain to use signature lines targeted to individuals who your goods are targeted to!
Obviously this is only the start. While you may decide to cover simple advertising on some sites and newsletters (and this is fine!) , if you’re involved with the community be respectful to the present members. Don’t just place advertisements and leave, but rather get to know those in the area. Stick to the rules as you need to in any community – do not post with the assumption everybody will automatically purchase from you. Build relationships, be useful, and the sales will follow!
